Special Department of Finance Budget Update and Consultation Event

NICVA

NICVA

Cost: Free
In the absence of an NI Executive to agree a final Budget for 2022-25, NICVA have organised a special event with the Department of Finance to update the voluntary and community sector on next steps for the NI budget and to provide the chance to put your questions to them on what this may mean for future funding

As part of the ongoing Budget 2022-25 consultation, the Finance Minister had hoped to be in a position to discuss in more detail the draft allocations and the opportunities this multi-year budget presented for long-term planning. However, in the absence of an Executive it will not be possible to agree a final Budget for 2022-25.  In order to facilitate continued engagement on the budget with the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, NICVA has organised this event with the Minister and his officials from the Department of Finance to provide an update on the mechanisms in place which will allow departments to continue spending to maintain public services.  The event will include the opportunity to pose questions and seek clarifcations from the Minister and the Department.

We are asking that questions from attendees are submitted prior to the event. This is to ensure smooth running of the event as well as to enable as many questions as possible to be asked within the timeframe.  Questions should be submitted by email to dearbhla.sloan@nicva.org by no later than 4.00pm on Friday 18 February.  When submitting your question, please also include your name and organisation you are representing.
