Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council PEACE IV Programme in partnership with Rural Community Network (RCN) is offering a free programme for men from across the Borough that will explore key historical events from 1600 to1800 and their impact nationally, regionally and locally. The programme will be facilitated by Dr. Eamon Phoenix.

There are two programmes, only ONE of which can be selected:

Plantation, Conflict and Revolution in Ireland 1600-1800 (Programme 1)  Sessions: Thursdays from 7pm - 9pm
Venue: Lurgan Town Hall, Union Street, Lurgan 
on the following dates:

  •   27th February 2020
  •  5th March 2020
  •  12th March 2020
  •  19th March 2020
  •  26th March 2020

Site visits
• Saturday 29th February - day long site visit to Drogheda
• Saturday 14th March - day long site visit to Co. Down/Armagh area
• Saturday 21st March - day long site visit Co. Down area

Ireland from the Union to Partition 1800-1920 (Programme 2) Sessions: Wednesdays from 7pm - 9pm
Venue: Old Town Hall, Scarva Road, Banbridge, BT32 3DA

Site visits
• Saturday 9th May 2020 - day long site visit to Bann Valley
• Saturday 23rd May 2020 - day long site visit to Belfast
• Saturday 30th May 2020 - day long site visit to Dublin

We particularly welcome men from all sections of the community and those who have
never engaged in a Peace IV Programme. Places will be allocated to reflect the diverse
nature of ABC Council area with a priority placed on encouraging men who have not
been involved in similar programmes. Spaces are limited.
