The Shared History Fund is a £1m fund which we are distributing on behalf of the Northern Ireland Office to mark the Centenary of the establishment of Northern Ireland in 1921. These webinars are to support potential applicants who are interested in applying, but have some questions about the scheme.

About the Shared History Fund

The Shared History Fund is a £1million programme, which The National Lottery Heritage Fund is distributing on behalf of the Northern Ireland Office, to organisations in the UK marking the centenary of Northern Ireland.

This fund has been created as part of the UK Government’s commitment to facilitate local and national awareness of the centenary of Northern Ireland, which also paved the way for the formation of the UK as we know it today.

Grants of between £3,000 - £100,000 are available for projects that will mark the centenary of Northern Ireland in a spirit of mutual respect, inclusiveness and reconciliation, in line with the Principles for Remembering.

Full eligibility criteria and application guidance is available on The National Lottery Heritage Fund website.

Applications open on Thursday 19 November, and must be submitted by noon on Friday 15 January 2021.
