Raising Resilience - Free Online Course For Carers Of People Affected By Eating Disorders
Raising Resilience is a series of online workshops for carers that take place live over Zoom. Along with others caring for someone with an eating disorder, you’ll learn new skills from an experienced eating disorder clinician.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll receive a pack of information on supporting your loved one from Beat, Professor Janet Treasure’s Skills-based Learning for Caring for a Loved One with an Eating Disorder: The New Maudsley Method.
How much time will I need to commit?
There are five workshops in total, which run weekly for two and a half hours.
What does Raising Resilience cover?
The first four workshops will cover:
- Motivational techniques to help with recovery.
- Setting boundaries.
- Supporting your loved one during mealtimes and handling mealtime stress.
- The cycle of change and how to support your loved one at each stage of their recovery.
We’ll follow up with an additional workshop that will give you a chance to meet again with your group, discuss any progress and give you chance to ask any questions you might have.
- Children and families
- Health and wellbeing
