NIACRO discussion - Rehabilitation Legislation Consultation

Rehabilitation of Offenders – Consultation. 

DoJ have launched a consultation on proposals to reform rehabilitation periods in Northern Ireland which can be found at https://www.justice-ni.gov.uk/news/justice-minister-launches-public-consultation-reform-rehabilitation-periods

The legislation has been in place unchanged since 1978 while changes have been made in other UK regions; the Republic of Ireland and many other states.

For NIACRO this is a key consultation so we are hosting a series of events for different interest groups - employers as well as agencies working in criminal justice. If you would like to engage with us and maybe are considering  responding to  the consultation which closes on the 5th of March 2021.please email paula.kerr@niacro.co.uk by Wednesday 27th January to register for a ZOOM event to be held on Friday 29th January  at 2.00 - 3.30 pm.
