What will I study?
Level 3 Diploma in Sport Massage Therapy.
Units include: Anatomy and physiology for sports massage, Principles of health and fitness, Understand the principles of soft tissue dysfunction, Professional practice in sports massage, Sports massage treatments
How will I be taught?
Starting with our online content you will study anatomy and physiology, principles of health and fitness and soft tissue dysfunction. The content will prepare you to complete the core elements of your achievement portfolio and pass the multiple-choice exam. The knowledge gained via the online course will prepare you perfectly to hit the ground running for your practical training. You will start with basic peer practice followed by working with athletes and teams to fully develop your skills.
Practical training includes a full range of massage techniques, with bonus sessions on advanced mobility and activation techniques and Kinesio taping.
When does the course Start?
The course enrolment commences on 13th May with access to the online content available within 7-14 days from receipt of payment. You will study the theory and over the summer followed by your multiple choice assessment on Monday evening Aug 26th. This is then followed by 14 weeks of practical massage therapy that will include working sports teams and athletes from week 4.
This course will fully prepare to commence a new career or generate a second income as a sports massage therapist.

What previous qualifications, qualities or experience will I need?
Must be 17 years old. This course is open to all, no previous experience in sport is required, however the course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential, therefore a degree of physical fitness is required.
Will I need any special equipment or resources?
During class and supervised sessions, all resources are supplied.
Appropriate personal clothing will be needed.
To practice outside of supervised classes, you will need insurance, a suitable bed and oils.
