Level 2 Working with Communities to Promote Active Healthy Lifestyles
Lear Training
Our new qualification, Level 2 WORKING WITH COMMUNITIES TO PROMOTE AND SUPPORT ACTIVE HEALTHY LIFESTYLES is designed to create an interactive relationship in the field of health promotion between health and the social environment.
Working with your community to improve their health and well-being necessitates an understanding of the demographics within that community and an appreciation of how it functions and operates. You need to be aware of the various factors which influence the community’s culture and dynamics. The best people to provide the first point of intervention and advice are those already engaged and trusted within the community. Our objective is to develop these people to identify the specific needs of their community and produce the necessary signposts and interventions to support others in developing a healthy active lifestyle.
This qualification aims to provide you with the knowledge and skills to be able to promote and support active healthy living in your community. In this qualification, you will learn about:
• The health needs of different communities.
• How to promote and support physical activity and healthy living to meet local community needs.
• How to support individuals in making activity and lifestyle changes.
