The King's Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) is the highest Award given to local volunteer groups across the UK. It is the MBE for volunteer groups and recognises volunteers who are making an outstanding and exceptional contribution in their communities. Join us for an online information session when you will hear from Sandra Adair, the NI Representative on the National KAVS Committee, about the nomination and assessment process as well as the benefits to all the volunteers in achieving this prestigious award.

VOLT Session - Fundraising Regulator: Are you a volunteer fundraiser, or do you support volunteer fundraisers in NI? Join the Fundraising Regulator as we explore the new Code of Fundraising and its implications for volunteers and for those who fundraise in Northern Ireland. The new code will be implemented on the 1st November - this is a perfect opportunity to ask the questions and understand the impact for both you as volunteer-involving organisations and for your volunteers.

This one day certificated training is suitable for Designated and Deputy Designated Officers. This session will provide training to assist and support them in carrying out their role and responsibilities. It will cover: Knowledge of the legal context of safeguarding children; An understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Designated Officer; Knowledge of Health and Social Care Trust structures and processes; and Exploration of issues and concerns around referrals and sharing information.
