Green Therapy Seminar 19 May 23

Positive Steps Outdoors is a social enterprise born out of the vision that connecting people to the natural environment, and each other, helps individuals and teams manage life’s pressures, build sustainable networks, strengthen future resilience and deepen their affinity with the environment.

Positive Steps Outdoors C.I.C.

Cost: We are asking for a small donation of a minimum £10 per attendee to cover the costs of refreshments which are being provided by Stepping Stones. They support people who face all kinds of barriers to employment including learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia and Mental Health issues.
Come and hear about the value of the outdoors when it comes to promoting positive wellbeing.
Positive Steps Outdoors is a local social enterprise that promotes positive mental and physical health by connecting people to our majestic upland, moorland and forested environments, and each other. Our green therapy event is in collaboration with Aware NI, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke, British Mountaineering Council, the Wellbeing Pathway, Belfast Hills Partnership and Mourne Heritage Trust, with the support of our patron ex boxer Carl Frampton. We will spend the morning at the Ormeau Baths in Belfast city centre exploring mental and physical health challenges in communities and businesses, the value of improved mental and physical health and the role that green therapy plays before a walk in the Belfast Hills to put it into practice.

NICVA member Positive Steps Outdoors invite you to join them on the morning of the 19 May 23 at the Ormeau Baths, Belfast to explore mental and physical health challenges in communities and businesses, the value of improved mental and physical health and the role that engaging with the outdoors through green therapy plays in promoting wellbeing. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to put the learning into practice on the Belfast Hills.

During the morning seminar, following a welcome by ex-boxer Carl Frampton, you will have the chance to hear from speakers from Positive Steps Outdoors, Aware NI, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke, British Mountaineering Council, the Wellbeing Pathway, Belfast Hills Partnership and Mourne Heritage Trust.
