This session aims to increase your awareness of what domestic and sexual abuse is, the prevalance in Northern Ireland and how you and your organisation can play your part in raising awareness of abuse and becoming a safe place within your community.
The Safe Place Initiative was launched by Onus in 2011 and since then over 1700 organisations have registered as a Safe Place.
Safe Place is a simple but very effective initiative that allows any business, organisation, church, school or community group to provide a ‘Safe Place’ where anyone affected by domestic abuse can confidentially access information on the range of support services available to them.
