Equality in Education - A dual capacity approach to family and community engagement

Equality Commission for NI
Research and practice have demonstrated the benefit of home-school engagement in supporting educational achievement. They have also identified a range of barriers to it, such as language, culture, level of understanding of the education system and the wider context of family life.
At the event, you will hear from and have the opportunity to ask questions of a range of speakers from the education and community sectors about the barriers and solutions to building effective links between home and school.
You can read more about our policy priorities and wider recommendations here (www.equalityni.org/EducationPolicy).
Registration is from 9:15 am.
