Epilepsy Action NI Family Fun Day

If one of your children has epilepsy then come along and join us for our fantastic family fun day!

Most children with epilepsy don't know anyone else with the condition. This is a great chance for them to meet others their age who might have had similar experiences and know they are not alone. They will be able to join in activities and have fun with siblings without worrying about seizures, as support and understanding will be on hand.

You'll also be able to share experiences and get support from other parents who have also been on a similar journey, coming to terms with living with epilepsy. Paediatric epilepsy nurses and other health professionals will be on hand to answer any questions you have and help you access more information and support.

The activities for children aged 2-5 include:

a forest school adventure camp
an interactive educational animal show
The activities for children and young people aged 6+ will include:

‘I’m an Adventurer, get me outta here’ series of challenges
Climbing wall, vertical challenge, fan descender activities
Archery, bushcraft, orienteering
Canoeing is an option for those aged 14 – 16 (please note canoeing takes place a short walk away from the Activity Centre at Shaw’s Bridge)
