EMplyoment Law COVID Webinar
This webinar will explore Employment Law in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic, with a special focus on Health & Safety.

The already complex relationship between an employer and their employees and workers has been made much more complex by the coronavirus pandemic. Employees and workers face new and challenging circumstances as they try to balance their work life and home life, in addition to taking precautions to protect themselves and their families. Employers, meanwhile, must try to keep their businesses afloat in a hugely challenging economic environment. The pressures on both sides have meant that those working in employment law have seen new and unprecedented challenges emerge since the beginning of the pandemic.

On 11 March, Law Centre NI's employment advisers will be on hand to explore these challenges in a free webinar. Placing a special emphasis on health and safety considerations, our team will outline the major developments we have seen since the start of the pandemic and will explain how the law applies to them. The session will cover:

  • Legal duties
  • Health & safety regulations
  • What is ‘reasonably practicable’
  • Employee responsibilities
  • Best Practice
  • Refusal to work
  • Other remedies
Sector:
  • Advice services
  • Lobbying/policy
