This seminar will focus on the work of Dementias Platform UK (DPUK) https://www.dementiasplatform.uk/, which was set up to discover new ways to understand, diagnose, and treat dementia.

DPUK brings together the information of over 3 million people from 47 long-term studies of health. Sarah Bauermeister (Senior Data Manager, Dementias Platform UK)will highlight the opportunities of the DPUK Data Portal for researchers and introduce a selection of projects exploring topics such as childhood adversity and adult outcomes in later life, comorbidity of cognitive decline and poor mental health. She will also introduce DPUK’s psychometric work which aims to address gender bias and inequality in psychosocial scales.
