Cutters Wharf Annual Dragon Boat Race

Belfast's favourite outdoor venue Cutters Wharf is hosting the Dragon Boat Race challenge in conjunction with Lagan Watersports, to raise money for CLIC Sargent's Homes from Home Appeal.

The Appeal aims to raise £3.7m to fund two Homes from Home at locations within walking distance of the main Belfast treatment centres, where young people with cancer are treated.

The event

Teams will be organised into heats, eventually progressing to the grand finale.

Teams will then compete against each other for the title of Dragon Boat Champions and the prestigious race trophy.

Plenty of cheering from the crowds and the rhythmic beating of the drums are certain to provide a fun day for all the family.

Get involved

CLIC Sargent in partnership with Cutters Wharf are looking for enthusiastic crews of 13 to17 people to race in the Chinese-style dragon boats.

You don't need to be extremely fit or skilled to take part in this event, just get a good team together and you are guaranteed to have a great day out whilst raising funds for CLIC Sargent.

The entry fee for the Dragon Boat Race is £200 per team and CLIC Sargent asks that each team member raise as much sponsorship as they can.
