Thrive

This is a free event
People chatting at an informal event
Join your peers in the creative sector to have the chats, make connections, and spark ideas.

Creative City Meetups are a chance for us all to come together, make connections, and spark ideas. And by ‘us all’, we mean anyone who is part of making creativity happen. We’re talking arts, tourism, creative industries, culture, heritage, games, and film.

Those working in the creative sector are often under-paid and under pressure. Bringing people together to share ideas, talk through problems, and realise they aren’t alone can only be a good thing, especially in challenging times.

We hear this after thrive events too. People feel that they don’t have the chance to collaborate and connect with others. Especially with those outside their own art form.

We'll kick off this event with some inspiration to get you talking, and we'll make sure you meet some new people. You’ll then have a chance to grab a drink, a snack, and a chat.

We want to keep things positive and see people leave with new connections and creative ideas.

There'll be coffee, tea, and snacks on arrival, and then the Green Room bar opens at 5pm for anyone who has the Friday feeling and wants to keep chatting.
