This course will ensure that participants have the knowledge and skills to challenge negative decisions.
It will cover the legislative framework as well as common problems and tactics.
Specifically there will be a focus on:
- Administrative decision-making
- Which procedure is applicable for challenging different negative decisions.
- Review requests and submissions,
- Conducting homelessness investigations and reviews with confidence
- Temporary accommodation pending review
- The principles of judicial review and appeals to County Court
- The role of the Ombudsman.
Who should attend?
This course will be of particular importance to housing advisers, community groups, political party constituency offices, private, social and hostel accommodation providers.
