Accelerating Public Service Transformation in Northern Ireland Where to Next?

This is a free event
There is building pressure to transform public services in Northern Ireland. Our core services are straining to meet current needs with available funding. If we are to improve outcomes for the people who live here, tackle disadvantage and make public services sustainable into the future, we need to find better ways to plan and deliver them.

The Covid-19 crisis has further underlined the need for change, highlighting the many inequalities that exist in society, but it has also illustrated the significant capacity that exists to respond to need. In a matter of weeks, we have seen new and reconfigured services and systems being introduced, along with a more decisive, innovative and collaborative way of working.

This webinar asks what steps might be taken to speed up the transformation of our public services so they are more effective and sustainable.  It presents the findings from Shifting Gear, a report by SCI and Deloitte on ways to enable change in public services, and the experiences of leaders in the public and third sector of the more collaborative and effective ways of working we have seen during the covid-19 crisis.

Speakers will include Moira Doherty, Deputy Secretary Department for Communities’ Padraic Quirk and Angela Hodkinson SCI. There will also be a Q&A.
