5G New Thinking .......in practice
Rural Community Network
RCN is a partner in the UK wide 5G New Thinking project which is developing a community toolkit to allow the creation of networks that provide rural connectivity. This new technology offers better connectivity in the future and that has possibilities for all of us including rural areas. But for many of us technology developments are confusing.
This event will present, for a non technical audience, what this developing technology is, look at developments in providing connectivity in the Orkney Islands and what the new Scotland 5G Centre rural hub in Dumfries is doing.
The event will provide the opportunity to learn from developments elsewhere and consider what actions might need to be taken in Northern Ireland.
It will be of interest to anyone concerned with the impact of the existing digital connectivity divide within and between urban and rural communities and enable us to start thinking about the future implications and possibilities of connectivity developments.
