As a leading learning and development body located in Belfast, we work locally, regionally and nationally.

We develop qualifications and accreditation opportunities to help meet the priorities of the Northern Ireland Assembly in supporting learners of every age in Northern Ireland, helping communities and individuals from all walks of life to gain access to the benefits of learning.  With over 19 years of experience in awarding credit in Northern Ireland, our team of specialists operates across the province providing support in curriculum development and quality assurance across all sector areas.

OCN NI has become a key player in Northern Ireland’s learning landscape. We advocate learning for all and campaign for wider participation in education and training, to promote social inclusion, encourage community transformation and foster social justice. As a significant stakeholder in education we seek to champion learning with Government and other decision makers, to influence the planning and procurement of public services.

OCN NI’s branded range of services and products include: 

  • A design service to meet needs for new and innovative qualifications
  • A consultancy service for large partners to accredit work based learning
  • Producing resources to support learning including online and virtual environments
  • Developing bespoke units to accredit customised programmes of learning
  • Tailored assessment and verification training
