OCN NI New Strategic Plan

OCN NI is one of the leading Awarding Organisations in Northern Ireland. As a registered charity, our purpose is to advance education by recognising and rewarding learning so that people of all ages achieve their goals in life and work. 

Based locally, we work closely in partnership with education and training providers to develop and award professional and technical (vocational) qualifications, from Entry Level to Level 5 across a wide range of subject areas. Through our recognised centres we provide access to meaningful, accessible and affordable qualifications, which play a key role in improving life opportunities. This empowers learners to realise their full potential and make a positive contribution to our society. 

 OCN NI’s strategic plan has been developed in response to the changing and challenging environment we all face.  Our flexibility and responsiveness to economic need ensures our qualifications are tailored to the needs of education and training providers, employers and learners. This plan provides an opportunity for OCN NI to play its part in supporting the work of the NI Executive.  We will support the Programme for Government by tackling educational underachievement and helping create a skilled workforce to meet the needs of the NI economy. 

 
Over the past 20 years we have developed economically relevant and learner engaging curricula, which have benefited the lives of over 370,000 learners throughout NI. We value your support and look forward to working with you to improve skills levels throughout NI.
