Northern Ireland Co-Ownership Housing Association is seeking to fill the Procurement Officer vacancy through the Interchange secondment programme. The role is for one year with the possibility of an extension.

About the role
Amongst other duties the Procurement Officer will:

  • Support and work with the Associate Director - Finance in making an effective contribution to the strategic direction of the organisation. 
  • Lead on the procurement of technical contracts and ensure excellence throughout the complete tendering process, from researching markets, producing specifications and contract documentation and evaluating tenders to reviewing performance and developing operational procedures.

  • Evaluate and implement new procurement opportunities to maximise value for money and maximise commercial opportunities.
Essential Criteria
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Public Sector procurement with experience of and knowledge of procurement methods and protocols.
  • Full CIPS Membership at Level 6.
  • Experience of setting up private/public contractual relationships and procurement law.
  • Experience of conducting negotiations and effective working in partnerships to achieve organisational targets.
