Cheshire House is made up of 18 supported living units occupied by a mixture of dependent individuals and people in our service with Acquired Brain Injury.

You will be required to work with the people who use our service and the staff team to enable individuals to attain their full potential and maximise the options available to them.

This will mean supporting the people who use our service with their physical care and personal hygiene needs, ensuring that their independence is preserved and developed as far as possible. You will also contribute to effective communication with them, their relatives, friends, professional helpers and other members of staff, ensuring the continuity of quality and safety in the provision of personal care services.

You will help the people who use our service with mobility problems and other physical disabilities and to assist in the use of care aids and personal equipment. You must comply with all health and safety policies and procedures and participate in supervision, staff meetings and training activities as required.

You will be required to have 3 GCSE’s or equivalent. It is desirable but not essential that you have NVQ2 in Health and Social Care. It is essential that you have the ability to communicate effectively with range of people, and work on your own as well as part of a team. You will also need to be available to work shifts and work with challenging behaviour.
