Invitation to tender: Test Drive the Arts NI Evaluation

Audiences NI celebrate 10 years of operation in 2015 and Test Drive the Arts NI has been one of our major projects since 2004. The need for continuing audience development for the arts and cultural sector is as high as ever with competition for audiences’ hearts, minds, time and money increasing. In addition the need for arts organisations to reach those non-traditional arts attenders remain a priority. Strategically access to the arts and tackling social inclusion is DCAL’s stated mission. DCAL is very positive in its support for Test Drive the Arts NI and wants to see the project develop to reach new audiences with a particular emphasis on reaching groups as well as individuals.

Funding for the arts continues to be challenging and like other sectorial organisations Audiences NI need to prioritise projects that can give maximum return in terms of impact and the potential to generate income either through additional funding streams or income generation.

Audiences NI are a busy team so although we have identified the need to evaluate Test Drive the Arts NI to ensure that it continues to fit DCAL’s priorities and the emerging needs of the new super councils, we need the appointed consultant to carry out this work on our behalf.
