Childcare Worker (Temporary One Year)

1. To work as part of the childcare team within Footprints’ Day Care facility in providing a stimulating and quality learning environment for children

2. To identify support needs and refer vulnerable women to appropriate support services within Footprints Women’s Centre

3. To play a full and participative role in children’s mealtimes, breakfast, lunch and breaks

4. To ensure a good standard of hygiene at all times to include nappy changing, cleaning of equipment and rooms

5. In consultation with the Childcare Team plan and implement a relevant play programme to meet individual children’s needs

6. Implement a relevant play programme to meet individual children’s needs, in consultation with the Practice Leader

7. To keep up to date records in line with Footprints Childcare Policy and Procedures ensuring confidentiality at all times

8. To participate in special seasonal or Centre projects i.e. trips; workshops etc

9. To liaise with parents regarding children’s progress on regular basis

10. To participate in staff development and training as and when required

11. To attend regular staff and team meetings

To undertake any other tasks and/or duties as may reasonably be requested by Senior Management
