Chair and Director/Trustee Positions

These roles are voluntary positions and are not remunerated.  Directors/Trustees are expected to attend six general meetings of the Board each year.  Meetings are held in Belfast.

Chair:  Suitable candidates will have senior experience in a leadership role as a director on the Board of a limited company, public sector organisation or charitable organisation.   Evidence of such senior experience would be as Chair or Vice Chair of a standing committee of a Board (Audit & Risk, General Purposes or Remuneration Committee).Alternatively, experience in a voluntary organisation as honorary treasurer for a period of not less than two years would be deemed suitable.  As the Chair is also a director of the organisation, it is obligatory that the Chair meets all of the criteria for selection as a director.

Directors:  Suitable candidates will have senior experience and skills in one or more of the following areas: Human Resources Management, Company Law, and Financial Management, Change Management, Programme or Project Governance.     

Timeline:  Completed applications are to be received not later than noon on 18 May 15.  It is intended that interviews for all roles will take place in late May 2015.

 Appointment:   Audiences Northern Ireland is committed to equality.  Selection will be on the basis of merit and competency.  Confirmation of appointment to both roles will be made in June 2015.  The appointments will be from July 2015, for a period of three years.
