World Homelessness Day - Friday 10th October
This Friday is World Homelessness Day and to celebrate Simon Community Northern Ireland will be out and about in our local communities to support anyone who is in need of advice and support.
World Homeless Day was established in 2010 to raise awareness of homelessness, draw attention to homeless people’s needs locally and provide opportunities for the community to get involved in responding to homelessness.
Making Moves North Belfast will be promoting World Homeless Day on Friday 10th October by holding an all day session of Making Moves to provide support to those who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless and to those in need. Making Moves provides guidance and support with:
- Housing
- Benefits
- Education & Training
- Employment
- Counselling
- Drugs & Alcohol
- Debt
- Community Based Support
- Emergency Provisions
