“Talk To Us,” says Northern Ireland Samaritans as charity urges people to reach out this July

Volunteers raise awareness of its round-the-clock emotional support services to encourage people to get in touch if they need support.

This July Samaritans in Northern Ireland is reminding the public that its volunteers are here around the clock to offer a listening ear to anyone who is struggling to cope.

Amid continuing uncertainty, Samaritans is highlighting the power of talking as part of the charity’s annual Talk to Us awareness campaign which takes place throughout July.

Several branches across Northern Ireland will also mark Samaritans Awareness Day on 24 July (24/7), one of the most important days in the charity’s calendar, to help spread the message that volunteers are available to listen to anyone who is struggling - 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7).

Marcella Taylor, Northern Ireland Regional Director said: “It is a challenging time for everyone at the minute and we want to remind the public that they are not aloneIt doesn’t matter how great or small the problems feel, our volunteers are here at any time of day or night, whatever they are facing”.
