To mark the launch of the Cinemagic Heritage Scheme, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Cinemagic invite you to a FREE screening of Irish animated adventure “The Secret of Kells”.

Following an introduction featuring storytelling, song and art with Randall Stephen Hall, join Cinemagic as “The Secret of Kells” explores the tale of how the famous book was created!

Kilkenny-based Cartoon Saloon’s Academy Award nominated “The Secret of Kells” is a magical animated classic that tells the story of Brendan, a young monk whose life is changed forever when he is initiated into the secrets of the Book of Kells and embarks on an extraordinary adventure, meeting fearsome monsters, Vikings, and a serpent god along the way. This is a unique and stunning adventure for the whole family!

The Cinemagic Heritage Scheme will run from September 2014 to June 2015, engaging students from a number of post-primary schools with the stories and oral histories of the older generations through workshops, film screenings and the production of short documentaries. Follow Cinemagic on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with this exciting and innovative project!
