Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. Dementia affects over 800,000 people in the UK alone and numbers continue to grow.
Salary: £18,324 pro rata
We are looking for a highly motivated person to be responsible for all aspects of volunteering in the local area, including the coordination, recruitment, induction, support and training of volunteers, adhering to the Society’s volunteering policies.
You will possess an NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) or have demonstrable experience. You will have experience of managing and motivating volunteers and leading a team, good organisational, time management and communication skills.
An understanding of dementia is essential, as is good time management, communication and IT skills. You should have experience of report writing, an understanding of voluntary and statutory services and be able to travel independently within the service area.
The post is based in Belfast and you will be covering the North and East area.
