Role Overview 
 

The Volunteer Office within HR & Corporate Services department is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable individual to join the team to assist in the development and delivery of the organisational wide volunteer programme.

This is a volunteer role which may be suitable for someone wishing to gain experience in a busy dynamic office environment; or those interested in developing volunteer or people management skills. 

 Key Tasks 
  • Manage new volunteer enquires and direct to the relevant department for follow-up

  • Maintain and update the Oxfam volunteer database

  • Support in the development and delivery of the annual volunteer forum.

  • Create and circulate bi-annual volunteer newsletter.

  • Support the development and distribution of new volunteer promotional materials

  • Assist in communication of volunteer programme and policy updates throughout the organisation

  • Assist with the development and delivery of the volunteer recognition programme

 Skills and Experience Required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Confident and polite telephone manner
  • Proficient in computer and typing skill and competent in the use of key Microsoft packages including : word, excel and outlook
  • Reliable, tactful and trustworthy
  • Fluent English both written and oral
