The Space & Place Policy Officer will be responsible for the identification, collation, analysis and dissemination of the key policy lessons and recommendations from the Space & Place Programme to a range of audiences.
Specific Duties
- Work with the Space & Place consortium and the wider Space & Place Policy Group to identify and disseminate policy lessons and positions to a range of audiences.
- Engage with key stakeholders in the community and voluntary sector, statutory agencies, government departments, decision makers, policy makers and politicians to promote policy lessons from the Space & Place Programme.
- Work with the Space & Place projects to foster interaction, collaboration and share best practice.
- Organise events to promote policy recommendations/lessons from the Space & Place Programme.
- Undertake research and horizon scanning for emerging issues and opportunities relevant to the programme.
- Develop and provide responses to policy documents from other agencies and related work.
- Work in partnership with the Space & Place Team to gather, analyse and disseminate information, case studies, research & policy papers to relevant audiences.
- Work in partnership with the CFNI Policy Officer to contribute to wider CFNI Policy development and initiatives relevant to the Space & Place programme.
- Work in partnership with the CFNI Communications Officers to contribute to the Space and Place website.
- Engage with the external independent evaluation agency and contribute to the evaluation of the Space & Place Programme.
- Represent NIEL/Space & Place at events/conferences and attend meetings as required.
- Report to NIEL Senior Management Team and Space & Place Team on a regular basis.
- Undertake any other relevant ascribed Programme and NIEL duties as required.
