WE HAVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR RELIEF WORKERS IN BELFAST

SALARY: £8.92 HOURLY

Relief Workers will provide cover for holidays and sickness (on an “as when required” basis). 

Hours are flexible within a 24 hour rota including sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays. We have a particular need for week day/weekend/daytime and night-time availability.

The role of Relief Worker will involve working alongside a fully trained staff team to provide supported accommodation, food and shelter to residents.  Because of the transient nature of the role, Relief Workers will be required to think on their feet and to adapt to new situations quickly.

You will need at least one year’s paid or one year’s (full time equivalent) active voluntary experience working in the homeless sector.

STELLA MARIS, Belfast: Provides accommodation and support for people with a history of long term street drinking. This project operates on the principles of harm minimisation and low threshold working.

FAMILY SERVICES - CLOVERHILL, Belfast/Lisburn: This is our family unit which offers temporary accommodation and support to 18 homeless families.

FAMILY SERVICES - MATER DEI, Belfast: Our family unit which offers temporary accommodation and support to 13 homeless families.
