The postholder will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of Victim Support NI’s internal and external communication activities.
Essential criteria:
- “A” level standard with minimum 2 years experience of working in a Communications function
- OR
A Minimum of 5 years experience in a Communications function
A demonstrable knowledge of a range of communications activities – media, websites, publications, marketing, social media, PR, etc.
Proven work-based experience of writing factual media articles
Experience of building successful relationships with editors and journalists
Proven ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain sound working relationships with staff at all levels of the business
- IT literate with a sound understanding of social media and competent with all Microsoft office packages
Desirable criteria:
- Degree or equivalent in media relations, PR or marketing
Knowledge of the criminal justice system
Experience of campaigning to influence societal change
Additional requirements:
The post holder will be required to undertake travel across Northern Ireland and must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the post
