The programme will be delivered to young people aged 15-18 referred by Criminal Justice and partner agencies.The project worker will provide 1:1 intensive support to enable progression onto mainstream training programmes,further education & employment
To receive and administer referrals and the referral process.
To conduct assessments with those referred to the Project.
As appropriate, to identify the requirement for specialist interventions, e.g. Benefits Advice, Mentoring, Accommodation Issues etc.
To draw up Individual Pathway Plans with appropriate timescales.
To plan agreed training provision and identifying external providers.
To liaise with our project partner Bytes in the development delivery and monitoring of individual Pathway Plans.
To deliver accredited training programmes as specified in individual Pathway Plans.
Identification of suitable work - sampling and employment opportunities in liaison with employers.
To recruit support and supervise volunteers engaged on the Project
To encourage and facilitate the participation of young people in the organisations youth forum.
Maintain files and records on all participants and provide timely and accurate monitoring information to Line Manager incorporating progress against agreed targets and issues arising.
To work in conjunction with referring agencies to ensure the sharing of information and achievement of agreed targets.
To contribute to the overall work and development of NIACRO's Youth Services.
