The staff team work collaboratively to make relevant, usable evidence available to policy makers, service providers and commissioners; working with a wide range of stakeholder groups to support the implementation of effective policy, efficient systems and good practice.

CES now wishes to recruit a Project Specialist to its staff team with particular expertise in the field of Knowledge and Communications. We are looking for a senior professional with a strong background in science communication, in knowledge and information management; internal and external communications including social and digital media skills; and the field of dissemination.

The postholder will be expected to lead on corporate knowledge and communications, ensuring that it is embedded across projects.   In collaboration with their colleagues at CES, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high quality and timely evidence informed initiatives relating to research, policy, systems and practice which promote better outcomes for children, families and communities.

They will have the professional credibility to represent the organisation by developing effective working relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders at government, service provider and practitioner levels and will work closely with managers to build and deliver a sustainable model of service, and to diversify the work and reach of CES in line with its ongoing strategy.  

The postholder will deliver effective outcomes on time and within budget, acting as part of a team that is committed to the development of new and innovative ways of working with a wide range of stakeholders at national and international level. This post is central to CES’ ability to be a leading intermediary knowledge based organisation. It will involve developing the Centre’s ability to connect meaningfully with our audiences, to produce relevant and accessible resources and to develop innovative and creative methods of communicating and disseminating the learning from our work.
