The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

 

Job Title: Project Officer                            

Ref:     15/28/PO/WEB

To support disabled people to secure sustainable employment opportunities and achieve positive outcomes through participation in programmes which Cedar is contracted to deliver by the Department for Employment and Learning (e.g. Workable (NI), Work Connect, and Specialist Support). Cedar delivers the Workable (NI) and Work Connect projects in collaboration with a number of other disability sector organisations in the Supported Employment Solutions (SES) partnership.

Hours:             37 Hours per Week

Salary:            3 Point Incremental Scale starting on £20,849

Contract:        Temporary Contract (Maternity leave cover)

Location:        Cedar Foundation, Bridge House, Omagh Road, Dromore, Co Tyrone BT78 3AH

 

Essential:

  • Minimum QCF level 5/Degree or equivalent level professional qualification

AND

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in supported employment or recruitment

OR

  • Minimum QCF level 3 or equivalent

AND

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as above in both working in supported employment or recruitment and delivering training
  • Full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes (consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence).

(This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full).

Desirable:     

  • Experience of working with people with disabilities or other disadvantaged groups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
