Main Purpose
The Learner Access & Engagement Pilot (LAEP) aims to engage and support the hardest to reach in Essential Skills provision through the Belfast Metropolitan College (Belfast Met). This includes engaging, assessing and providing on-course support/follow-up with the hardest to reach across Essential Skills provision within Belfast Met facilities as well as outreach provision across the North Belfast and Newtownabbey areas. LAEP is managed through a Steering Group, whose partners are:

The Programmes Coordinator / Essential Skills Engagement & Support worker shall be responsible for coordinating other projects of ACT including the delivery of the LAEP in North Belfast and Newtownabbey which includes identifying, engaging and providing mentoring support to learners to complete Essential Skills qualifications.
