Night Support Worker

Cedar Foundation

The Support Worker is part of the team whose function is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals in receipt of services within the Cedar Foundation Supported Living Schemes.

Through a key worker system, the Night Support Worker will also have involvement in the designing of individual programmes of support and be responsible for delivering the accommodation support and care packages.

Hours:                        20 - 35 Hours Per Week

Contract:                    Permanent

Location:                    West Belfast

Hourly Rate:              3 point scale commencing at;

                                   Point 1 - £7.15

                                   Point 2 - £7.35

                                   Point 3 - £7.50

 

Essential:                  

  • Numeracy & literacy (English language) skills
  • English GCSE at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Registered or applying for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Job references.

 

Desirable:                 

  • NVQ 2 (Health & Social Care) or equivalent
  • Maths to GCSEgrade C or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable evidence of 6 months experience of providing physical care / support for individuals within the last 2 years
  • Knowledge of the needs of the client group(s)
