MDA Community Transformation Initiative Project Worker

The CTI Project Worker will:

Refine and plot out the implementation process of the MDA’s CTI, an innovative new project which aims to ensure that the Market community is best places to take advantage of the opportunities which lie before it in the coming years. The project will have three strands consisting of

1. Community engagement and organisation
2. Education and skills
3. Economic development and training

The tasks of the CTI worker will range from organising a community survey; increasing the communities educational and skills base; designing and implementing an economic development and training programme.

SUMMARY OF WORK RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1        To refine and implement the MDA’s CTI Project

2        Organise a community consultation and liaise with the MDA’s Community Development and Community Regeneration Officers to ensure that this is carried out in conjunction with the forthcoming Market Regeneration Plan update process.  

3        To work with Women, ex-prisoners, youth and the disengaged to help build their capacity and to give them a positive outlet for their energies.

4        To develop educational and skills programmes for the area, particularly for the aforementioned groups.

5        To deliver employability programmes in the area and help foster the development of community businesses.

6        To work on any other projects as directed by the MDA as and when necessary.
