Key Workers are responsible for forming professional relationships with people and assist them to live more successfully within their local communities, improve their health and wellbeing by addressing their drug and alcohol use.

EXTERN is a large charity which helps to improve the lives of children and adults facing challenging circumstances and makes communities safer across the island of Ireland.

We work in partnership with a variety of organisations including housing, criminal justice, heath, social services, education, employment and voluntary and community sectors to deliver a range of services.

The Drug and Alcohol Adult Intervention and Family Support Service is a service aimed at working with and supporting adults who are drinking alcohol or misusing drugs in a hazardous/harmful but non-dependent way, and providing support for family members impacted by a relations drinking/drug misuse.

We are currently recruiting for the following position:

 Key Worker

Salary: Grade 5 (£12970.00 per annum)

Location: Based in Ballymena but with flexibility to work across the whole Northern Trust area

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week including breaks (22.5 paid)

Contract Status: Continuous, subject to funding until 30th June 2018
