Salary £25,000 – £27,000 (DOE) per annum, full time hours, permanent contract.

1. Role

This role is an excellent opportunity to join the HR team within Depaul NI.  Reporting to the Senior HR Manager the role leads the management and coordination of the HR function in NI and contributes as part of the wider HR team in ROI, to ensure consistency of approach.    The HR coordinator works closely with services, and is the direct support for services through the Senior Services Manager.

The HR coordinator while broad in scope will focus on but not limited to the below areas:

  • Managing the recruitment process
  • Advisory service to services
  • Co-ordination of training and development  programmes
  • Facilitate Quarterly Health and Safety meetings.
  • Employee Engagement

The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of employment law legislation, and will ensure Depaul operates within both its own employment policies and current employment law. 

The overall focus of this role is in ensuring HR best practice, as well as a fair and reasonable approach is at the heart of what we do. 

Work duties may develop and change over time as the needs of the organisation change.  The above role description is not exhaustive.   A more detailed job description will be supplied to the successful candidate prior to commencing in the role.

2. Skills, Knowledge and Experience

This role requires:

  • Two to five years direct relevant experience (full time equivalent) gained in a Human Resources Department, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Three years direct experience in all areas of HR as below but not limited to :
  • Employee Relations.
  • Developing and implementing Policies and Procedures.
  • Training and Development.
  • Health and Safety.
  • Team management
  • Managing Change
  • Experience developing and implementing a strategic plan.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience working with  HR systems  (PAMS)
  • Experience in working towards and achieving Investors in People.
  • Experience in working within the charity sector.
  • Knowledge of working in an environment that adopt the principals of a Low Threshold approach to their work.
