Hear to Help Co-ordinator, based in Lisburn. Maternity Cover- Fixed term until March 2016.

• Ensure delivery of a programme of hearing aid support and outreach information activities through use of volunteers in both community and hospital setting

• To work with Manager to plan activities, meet project objectives and monitor and evaluate “the Hear to Help” programme

• Provide regular accurate progress reports to Managers on targets and project expenditure in line with funding requirements to enable project review

• Raise awareness of the project by marketing it through all appropriate means including networking and local statutory and voluntary agencies

• Management of three H2H Development Officers

• To manage the ‘Hear to Help’ volunteers ensuring they are recruited, developed, trained and motivated to provide the highest quality of a ‘Hear to Help’ service in line with our Investing in Volunteers accreditation

• Monitoring of budgets to ensure project is delivered within the allocated budget.

• Working in partnership with the Health & Social Care Trust to develop hearing aid support services with the Trust

• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team across the statutory and voluntary sectors

• To attend any training relevant to the role

• To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post at all times in compliance with all of Action on Hearing Loss’s policies, but especially Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety
