The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:
Job Title: Floating Support Worker Ref: 14/97/FSW/WEB
Providing a Floating Support Service to adults with disabilities who require housing
support to develop their capacity to live independently.
Client group: Adults, Physical Disability, Brain Injury, Sensory Impairment
Hours: 30 hours per week, worked within Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Salary: 3 point incremental scale commencing on £16,215 per annum, pro rata
Contract: Temporary (Maternity leave cover)
Location: Office base: Unit 3 Ballinaska Business Park, Springtown Drive, Derry
Essential:
- Basic qualification to NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year’s paid experience of providing support services to people with disabilities or other vulnerable individuals
- Knowledge of the effects of disability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment*
*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.
Desirable:
- Qualification in Health & Social Care
- Proficiency in IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
