Job Purpose
To engage, consult with and support fathers and their children and fathers-to-be, living within the Bangor Sure Start area to offer practical support to enable families to manage their daily lives with increased confidence and independence. This role is to enable fathers, male carers and fathers-to-be to review their role and responsibilities within the family and strengthen family relationships.
Essential Criteria
Minimum of QCF Level 3 Child Care qualification or equivalent
Minimum of 1 years paid employment working with children or families
5 GCSE’s at grade C or above in English Language & Mathematics or equivalent
1 years experience of child or family observations and reporting on work done
Clean drivers license and access to transport
Skills – e.g. communication, organisational, observational, report writing, file recording etc
Ability to maintain confidentiality and a sensitive approach to people in need
Ability to communicate, liaise and co-operate with professional/parents
