As lead body YMCA is recruiting for a Community Engagement Worker to join an Early Intervention Transition Team to support improving outcomes for children, young people and families in Down through participation and engagement.
This post is required to assist Down Community Partnership and its delivery partners to deliver the targets of the Social Investment Fund namely provision of the Incredible Years, Partnership with Parents and Mentoring for achievement programmes.
The key responsibilities of the Community Engagement Officer are to raise awareness of the Social Investment Fund objectives, establish local connections and stimulate interest within local communities in relation to named programmes. This will include organising community events and supporting locality- based staff and organisations to take forward these new community-led local initiatives. Assist with data collation, analysis and interpretation of monitoring tools in the preparation of Outcome Based Accountability.
