The Chartered Institute of Housing currently require Tutors

CIH has recently expanded its training portfolio and is working with new audiences within the housing sector in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.  These accredited programmes include:• CIH Level 2 Award in Letting and Managing Residential Property• CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Maintenance• CIH Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Homeless People• CIH Level 4 Certificate for the Housing ProfessionsWe also offer a range of short courses that support continuing development within the sector.We are now seeking to enhance our training teams with experienced accredited professionals. If you are interested in becoming a tutor with us you should be occupationally competent in your area of expertise and • hold a relevant teaching or training qualification, eg C & G Preparing to Teach in Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS), or CIPD Certificate in Training Practice;• demonstrate experience of supporting adult learners; and• evidence assessment using a variety of assessment tools and an assessment qualification would be desirable.For courses with a specific housing content, we will also look for tutors who are members of the Chartered Institute of Housing and can demonstrate their commitment to continuing professional development to ensure their knowledge and understanding is up to date with the latest thinking. What we offer youAs the professional body, we are frequently approached for training from a range of organisations, in addition to our open access programmes and we use our preferred pool of trainers with proven expertise for delivering high quality programmes in delivering bespoke training, consultancy and education programmes.  Our staff team provide support to tutors in reviewing and refining training materials to meet CIH qualification requirements or client needs.  We take responsibility for capturing client requirements, marketing course programmes and manage all the practical arrangements for the training, so you can focus on what you know best.Tutoring with the CIH provides you with an additional level of professional endorsement and a powerful brokering service within the housing sector.We offer competitive rates including travel and expenses where required.Contact usIf you are interested in linking up with us, then send your details to [email protected].
