Centre Director

Working along with the Board of Directors, the Centre Director will be a strategic thinker, able to plan and implement the next steps for the Tara Centre including developing funding strategies to enable the Centre to optimise and deliver its complement of services.

Candidates should meet the following essential criteria:

• A third level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Healthcare, Community, Marketing, Communications, Education, Human Resources).Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office, email and internet.
• Full driving license and the use of a car.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior management role which has included project management, change management and organisational development. Experience in strategy development and the drafting and implementation of business and strategic plans.
• Experience of sourcing, preparing and submitting funding applications.
• Knowledge and experience in managing and formulating budgets, identifying variances and advising on and/or implementing remedial action.
• Experience of developing a team of staff and/or volunteers.
• Experience of working with a Board of Directors or equivalent governance structure.

The package:

• 40 hours per week; 1 year fixed term contract (may be extended)
• £36,000 - £42,000 per annum; 33 days holidays (includes 10 stat days).
