N.B. This is a readvertisement. Previous applicants need not reapply as their applications will be considered as part of this recruitment exercise. These posts will require the delivery of information and training sessions to parents.

The ADHD Changing Lives Initiative is a significant new partnership operating across both parts of Ireland and Western Scotland, which has received funding until May 2020 through the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme (with matching funding from the Northern Ireland Executive and Irish government). The initiative proposes to tackle the challenges associated with children aged 3-7 years who are at risk of an ADHD diagnosis, by raising awareness and providing behavioural training and support to parents and professionals. Developing stronger shared practice across different regions, and rigorously measuring its impact, will be key aspects of the initiative. ADHD Changing Lives is being delivered across Colin/West Belfast, County Louth, and the Argyll & Bute region of Scotland. Partners in the initiative are Archways (lead partner), Colin Neighbourhood Partnership, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Louth Leader Partnership, and NHS Highland.

As part of this initiative Colin Neighbourhood Partnership now wishes to recruit the following two posts:

Job title:  Programme Facilitators (Changing Lives Initiative)

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £24,207

Duration: Up to May 2020 (subject to continued funding)

Location: Colin, Belfast

These posts will require the delivery of information and training sessions to parents, and education and health professionals, as well as the delivery of the 20-week Incredible Years ADHD programme to parents. Promoting the programme and developing strong working relationships with a wide range of agencies concerned with ADHD will also be critical. Programme Facilitators will work as part of a local team in Colin and West Belfast, but also as part of a wider programme team across Ireland North and South and Western Scotland. Previous facilitation experience of the Incredible Years programme is an advantage but is not essential, as training in all aspects of the work will be provided as required.
