The TJI is delighted to announce its 9th annual Summer School on Transitional Justice on the theme of: Women and Political Settlements: International, Regional and Local Approaches to Peacemaking

We are delighted to offer four full scholarships to the Annual TJI Summer School in June 2016 for applicants living and/or working in the global South. The scholarships will cover the cost of registration, accommodation and return travel to attend the Summer School (flights to a maximum of £1,300). The scholarships are funded by the DFID Political Settlements Research Programme. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of professional experience, academic qualifications and likely benefit to the applicant.

In addition, the Transitional Justice Institute will offer two additional partial scholarships with no restrictions to geography which will pay the cost of registration and accommodation.  For partial scholarships, applicants will be expected to pay for their own travel costs.  Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of professional experience, academic qualifications and likely benefit to the applicant.

NEW! Also, we now have Garfield Weston Trust scholarships to provide two part fee scholarships of £400 to enable civil society and NGO  participants in Northern Ireland to access the summer school. The money will be applied to the fee portion of the Summer School. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of professional experience in particular the applicant's work in the community, likely benefit to the applicant and contribution to the Trust aims of widening access to Higher Education.

Please indicate on the scholarship application form if you are applying for the Full Scholarship for students from the Global South, the partial scholarship (no geographical restriction) or the Garfield Weston Scholarships for applicants from Northern Irish civil society and nongovernmental organisations.
